Your diet buddy
Congratulations. You have completed step 1 by opening this page and reading.
In order to reach your goal certain tried and used tools are important to use.
First note your current weight when you start your journal and set a realistic goal of where you’d like to be in the next 6-8weeks.
Be “thoughtful” to the portion size you choose to consume. The food scale available at www.bedbathandbeyond.com or www.williams-sonoma.com will offer clarity on portion size. State of mind plays a role as does a willingness. If you feel deprived you’re likely to quit.
Be gentle with yourself if you tumble it will not be the first time or the last, you’re human.
The key is knowing how to get back on the right path!
Many of us have been on a diet of some kind for the better portion of our lives so diet has been a negative 4 letter word. Think of it as a positive 8 letters and 2 words, SELF LOVE.
Next step, the journal. For your journal to be most effective we suggest using the “Diet Buddy” form on the site. It is for your eyes only unless you ask for added support.
The key is writing EVERYTHING down you consume and note how you felt after your meals and snacks. By noting what you’ve consumed including liquids you will have a better understanding of what might be holding you back from the image you want or feel you have. Some foods we love even the healthy ones may be causing bloating, headaches, cravings, fat around the middle or fatigue and likely you were not identifying those feelings to the food.
The “buddy” system was designed to support you through a “lifestyle” change that focuses on food and diet. Not another diet but rather YOUR personal choice, diet.
Think of these subtle changes in your “food” lifestyle as being more aware. Just by knowing the outcome of feeling better you’re likely to succeed when before you couldn’t.
Lets be very clear, you CAN indulge without the diet guilt. To feel you can never enjoy “the naughty goodies” is crazy however, by knowing how you felt after you cleansed your body will guide you in determining the next binge and how much! Think about that one. There is NO right or wrong, just simple awareness.
Please include any and all exercise and supplements.
What you will need:
A willingness to try something different and uncomfortable
Your computer, paper journal or binder
A food scale to show you weights on protein
TRUST and compassion for your sanctuary….your body
