Whether we know it or not, or chose to believe, we use our style to alter the perception others may have of us. Our unique style “canvas” is a view into the artist we are or want to be but chose to put aside. It can be said with certainty that no two artist will paint a canvas the same. Not only because of the individual artistic style but also the colors they chose to mix. Friend in the closet was my way of sharing my “style canvas” with the many different tools and ideas I’d gathered and created over my years as an Image consultant. I believed then as I do today we are all blank canvases waiting to be painted. This philosophy was inspired by my financial challenges limiting my color choice but also by the real effects color has on those around me. My personal canvas continues to evolve and sometimes I like the art and other times I don’t. It doesn’t hold me back from splish splashing on a fresh canvas daily. These useful tools of compassion, humor, knowledge and experience I hope will encourage you to embrace your artistic authentic self and use “friend” in the closet as a platform to express, share and feel confident about the daily canvas you paint.
